3M™ 4229P Double-sided mounting tape High performance acrylic foam

3M adhesive tape 4229P double-sided is a high-performance acrylic foam adhesive tape with extremely strong adhesive strength for permanent indoor and outdoor bonding. It has been specially developed for demanding installation tasks where a secure and durable bond is required without drilling or screws.

The 3M™ adhesive tape is ideal for attaching exterior add-on parts, trim strips, side protection strips, emblems, mirrors, reflectors, spoilers and plastic trim. Thanks to its very high adhesive strength on common paint systems as well as on many metal and plastic surfaces, it is successfully used in the automotive industry in vehicle construction in workshops as well as in the DIY sector.

The viscoelastic acrylic foam core reliably compensates for material movements during temperature changes and ensures a permanent tension-equalizing bond. The adhesive tape also has a vibration-damping effect and reduces stress caused by driving, weather and mechanical influences. Thanks to its high resistance to UV weathering and ageing, the adhesive strength is maintained even with long-term use.

3M adhesive tape 4229P double-sided offers high resistance to plasticizers and chemical influences, making the tape particularly suitable for plastic parts where conventional adhesive tapes often lose their adhesive strength. It can be applied cleanly, quickly and precisely without damaging the surfaces.
